High-Speed Internet Requirements

What You Need to Know

Requirements for receiving DSL service are as follows:

  • The following operating systems are supported:
    • Windows 7, Vista, or XP
    • Mac OS X
  • The PC must support a web browser. One of the following is recommended.
    • Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher
    • Firefox 3.5 or higher
    • Opera 10.0 or higher
    • Safari 4.0 or higher
  • The PC must be equipped with a Network Interface Card (NIC). A 10/100 Ethernet NIC is recommended. If a NIC card is not installed, the PC will need to be equipped with a USB (Universal Serial Bus) port. High-Speed Internet will not operate without either a NIC card or USB port.
