Windows Vista Set-Up Instructions
Welcome to Shentel Internet!
Before beginning set-up, please be sure to read all information below to ensure an accurate set-up of your Shentel Internet connection.
- First click on the "Windows Logo". This was known in previous Windows versions as the "Start Menu".
- Next, click on the "Control Panel" link on this menu.
- Under the Control Panel, click on the "Network and Internet" icon.
- Under "Internet Options", click on the "Connect to the Internet" link.
- Under the "Connect to a Network" screen, click on the "Set up a connection or network" link located at the bottom of the window.
- Under the "Choose a connection option" screen, click on "Set up a dial-up connection". Then click "Next".

Put in the following information:
- Dial-up phone number (see table below)
- Click on "Remember Password"
- Connection Name "Shentel" or "My Shentel"

- Make sure that the computer is connected to the telephone line, and that there is a dial tone before you click on the "Connect" button. This will immediately test the connection.
NOTE: You must then click on the "Start Icon", click on "Connect to", and then click on the connection just created to connect to the Dial-Up services.
