Maintenance Plans

The Normal Maintenance repair plan covers repair calls during regular working hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for Sundays and company holidays. If you need to have repair service performed outside the regular working hours, you will need to choose between one of the following options.

After-Hour Maintenance

Subscribing to After-Hour Maintenance requires a recurring monthly charge per each of your lines. This entitles you to maintenance and repair service 24 hours-a-day.

Call-Out Maintenance

Call-Out Maintenance charges are based on time and materials. The minimum call-out charge is for two hours and 50% of the loaded labor cost, including overtime.

One Call Service

One Call is an optional full-service telephone maintenance plan which includes all inside wiring up to the network interface device, problems within the telephone equipment, and in case of trouble, replacing the old hardwired connections with new FCC-approved jacks. This plan is for customers who own their equipment.

Inside Wire Maintenance

Shenandoah Telephone Company will maintain the customer's inside wire for a residential charge per jack of $.15. The cost per business jack is $.25.

Total Phone Care

Get this 24-hour maintenance service, inside wire and phone jack repair, and location of phone problems, even customer-owned phones, for one recurring monthly charge.

No Maintenance

Besides these maintenance plans, Shenandoah Telephone Company also gives the customers the option of having no maintenance plan at all. This option requires the customer to maintain their own inside wire or have an outside contractor make the repairs. Shenandoah Telephone Company can be this outside contractor, but will charge for time and materials.
